LET'S GET RID OF STATE TESTING

State testing is bad for the tax payers of New York because they waste 11.1 billion dollars on state testing a year. According to http://www.fairtest.org/k12/naeprephtm many kids who do well in school may get left back if they don’t pass their state exams. Most of them said “the state test was hard.” State testing is a waste of money that’s why some countries have stopped. They have saved millions of dollars.
My reasoning is that we should get rid of state testing because it is a waste of time and money. My other reason is that some kids rush to finish on time so they might see other kids finish this may cause them to bubble in the wrong answer. When kids run out of time they get nervous and end up doing poorly even though they may be good students.
Should the country get rid of state exams? I say yes because kids are failing more and more every year. The kids say the testing is too hard for them. I think state test are a waste of time and money. When kids get nervous they bubble the wrong answer.
Some people might say “how are we supposed to know if they were listening in class?” I say that is what a report card is for. If students are getting 3’s and 4’s on their report card, then we know that they are listening and doing well in school on a daily basis. Not judging from one test.
People should get rid of state testing? People should write a letter to their school principal or write the letter to the governor to stop state testing. Kids are failing more and more every year. State testing is bad for lots of people because they might fail and get bad jobs because they can’t pass state exams.
