The Friendship Games

“Riiiiing!”  The bell just rung for third period, and every student rushed to there elective classes. My best friend Sam and me rushed to our world languages class, that was going to be the last time me and Sam were going to walk together in the hallway for a very long time. When we all arrived we had to line up in the small room between the classes and that’s when I heard Anthony calling me .The boys all had mentioned that they called me on Friday night and Sam gave them my number.  All I wanted was the truth but no one seemed to want to tell me the truth so I finally got the nerve to ask Sam if it was true. Sam kept denying it so I stopped asking, but when I saw the look on her face I knew that it was true. I’ve known Sam since 6th grade so I knew when she was lying.

When we all got settled into class everyone was quiet because they heard me and Sam arguing, and that’s how it was for the next hour of class. When the bell rung for lunch I quickly gathered all my stuff and went straight to lunch. Sam approached me and we argued even more. That day was the last time Sam and me ever spoke for a couple of months. Later that day everyone heard about what happened earlier in class. I felt like i was missing something and all I needed was Sam

It’s been three weeks since I last spoke to Sam and part of me felt lonely but the other part of me felt like I found who I was. Sam had always been the pretty popular one and I was just the friend who was with her all the time. For the first time people actually knew who I was and it felt good. That was all I ever wanted but never got it until now. Since it was Wednesday we all had to take out our dictionaries and find definitions for some new vocabulary words. A girl sitting next to me asked if I wanted to work with her and I said yes. I finally realized who it was, it was Amber the tuff girl but always nice to the people she cared about.

I’ll always remember the day I met my partner's in crime. Through out the months  Amber and I grew really close . There was one question that gave Sam and me a wake up call and that was “ How do I consider our friendship”? Sam and I would never be the same again but I will always recognize her as a friend. I don’t get how the whole argument started over my phone number, but one thing I learned was that friends always come and go but there’s always going to be that one friend in the crowd that’s never going to leave. The only friends a person has are themselves, you are the only person you can trust. You always fight with your friends, and there will be times that it takes longer to repair. Sam and I are still friends today, but always remember that you must always forgive and forget. You never forget your best friend . Sam will always be my best friend.
