Filters or no Filters

Why should we have school filters when we can have smarter students? Research says that the CIPA law was passed in 1999 saying that schools should filters blocking certain websites. Students should be allowed to access all websites for research and educational purposes.

Students need to use all sites on the Internet for better research.  In 1999 the CIPA law passed that the law of all schools should have school filters. They also say that it can be dangerous and harmful. We really have to start depending on our scholars. If you can't trust them with the internet you can't trust them at all.  We can help children gain knowledge without filters blocking necessary websites.

Students need to learn responsibility in using the internet properly.  A researcher from CIPA says that, "Many of the websites are dangerous or harmful."

Some people may argue that students will use the computers for playing games or for unnecessary use.  This argument is wrong because the more resources and the more research students have, the more students will improve in knowledge about the real world.  It's unfair that adolescents have to use many useless websites when they can learn more from sites like YouTube and many others.

Why should we have school filters when we can have smart scholars?  Schools want smarter scholars, so we really have to stop school filtering. Parents should write letters and e-mails to the PTA and to the principals to change this.  Change school filtering; open a new world to the scholars!

I agree with your opinion,

I agree with your opinion, because the schools do know that we have work to do and we should be trusted not to go on those websites. Also the kids will find ways around blocks anyway.
