NO MORE GUNS!

The use of firearms in the United States has clearly been a gargantuan subject, especially after what occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary.  However, is the government doing all it can to reduce the use of firearms? No! As of 2010, there were 300 million firearms owned by U.S civilians. Yet, groups and organizations have done remarkable efforts to stop the use of firearms. More importantly, it is vital that the government should create a law to ban weapon usage. 
 
First, the use of fire arms has not only made families lose their loved ones, put also petrified them. Yet, studies show that 15 out of the 25 mass shootings in the last 50 years took place in the United States. This proves that gun violence isn’t new and has been going for a while now. Unfortunatley, when a mass shooting ensues, about 75% of the time, after lives are lost, officals come.

Second, children need to feel safe when at school. For example, at Virginia Tech 32 people were killed making it the deadliest shooting in U.S history, and  at Sandy Hook Elementary, 26 people were killed making it second deadliest shooting in U.S history. Furthermore, schools taking this more seriously by having drills.

On the other hand, the market of firearms has given the government an outstanding amount of money. This year, the government has earned about $11.7 million in sales and $993 million in profits. Then again, becuase of this colossal number, manu people have died. In conclusion, gun control should be a key objective for Capital Hill and the people of the United States. Currently, there is no law banning the use of guns. However, some states have made their own laws against the usage of firearms. More significanlty, only some states aren't enough, there HAS to be a law to ban the usage of guns across the U.S!
