Hot, sticky, humid classrooms. The way students think of it. Actually they are funnier. Sometimes summer schools plan trips to go to amazing places. For example, Corona Park, Statue of Liberty, etc. They can also meet new friends and learn new things. Students should go to summer school.

Firstly, according to http://summer.truman.edu/why.asp reason # 9 states that taking a course during the summer to take off a course during the year can lower stress during the year. According to http://www.webmd.com/balance/stress-management/stress-management-effects-of-stress stress can make you more vulnerable for sickness. And it can also cause skin problems such as acne to worsen. Since stress is connected to blood pressure, the more stress the higher the blood pressure. One way stress might affect your thoughts and actions is it makes you jumpy or tired all the time. And with that it will be hard to concentrate on work during the school year.

Secondly, according to http://parentingteens.about.com/od/education/a/summerschool.htm teens can focus more on one subject. In a year of school you have science, math, ELA, Social Studies, Algebra, etc. And think about the homework! All pilling up on your schedule! But, summer school lets you focus on just one subject. Leading to lesser homework and lesser stress.

On the other hand, according to http://www.wisegeek.com/should-my-child-attend-summer-school.htm parents think it is not the child’s fault he/she failed. It is because he/she had a very stressed out year because something came up during the year. For example, parent divorce, death of a special family member, etc. And it because the child to not focus correctly on her/his academic work.

In conclusion, Students should go to summer school to help improve academic scores. As well as meet new friends. There are many new opportunities in summer school. Summer school is a great choice.
